Ingredients

  • 6oz Butter or Margarine
  • 3oz Caster Sugar
  • 2oz Ground Almonds
  • 6oz Plain Flour
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • Cherries to decorate

Method

  1. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy
  2. Beat in ground almonds
  3. Stir in flour and salt and mix well
  4. Place mixture in piping bag with large star nozzle and pipe star shapes on baking tray, allowing for spreading. Place cherry in centre of each.
  5. Bake until pale gold and set (10 minutes Gas 4/350F/180C). Cool on wire tray.
