Ingredients

  • 8oz Plain Flour
  • 1 tsp Cream of Tartar
  • ½ tsp Bicarbonate of Soda
  • 2oz Butter or Echo
  • Salt and Pepper
  • 3oz Grated Cheddar Cheese
  • ½ tsp dry Mustard
  • ¼ pt Milk

Method

  1. Sieve dry ingredients together
  2. Rub in Echo and add cheese
  3. Mix with milk to make a soft dough
  4. Press out into three-quarter-inch thickness and cut into 2" rounds.
  5. Brush with milk and bake for 15 minutes at 220C, 425E
